24 hours in and you can hear the improvements across the audio band, you know this can only get better.  I’ve also noticed on certain miked/mixed recordings the peakiness in the recordings. The 8C speakers are very revealing of good and bad recording mixes, this is further stripped back by the ER, and definitely indicates further burn in time for the ER.  Different or better - no contest, this is better by audio miles 24 hours in.  
 

i think someone mentioned earlier about bass notes being even more defined - multiple harmonics in bass notes I had never heard before with the excellent 8C - these speakers really do sublime bass. For example the under or over damping of the bass/kick drum can be clearly heard, and the way the room is pressurised is clearly much improved for you to able to hear this information in the audio cues. On really well recorded/produced tracks it’s like hearing people play music to you as opposed to listening to music....Play Etta James “ Ball and Chain” or Tracy Nelson “ What Good Drinkin Can Do” from HoB The Songs of Janis Joplin - fantastic album by the way - and turn it up....! 

 

Further impressions will follow as this “device of alchemy” stretches its legs;  but let me say - the ER completely dispels the myth that network switches do not matter to network  audio - because this device does

Ok 30 hours in and I’m still wowing at what the lower registers are doing, the peakiness is receding and the sound opening up further. Ambience to recordings, much more apparent, the felt on the dampers, the musician shifting on his seat, I’m playing “Ode” by Nils Frahm always gets my attention, but this was just getting into my soul - beautiful 

I already thought the following were really good tracks, they feature in my excellent playlist, stunning bass and dynamics they just stop you in your tracks  - articulation, soundstage, dynamics.....”Elephants On Ice Skates” - Brian Bromberg - this will sort out if you have bass problems. And  “Penguins” - Lyle Lovett, I think they put the drum kit in my room - turn them up!

I’ve done the comparison earlier today with the ER in front of my Linn streamer, and pulled the B side connection going to the Linn until the music stops playing - the Linn buffers approx 10+ seconds of music. Then plugging the Linn back into my Netgear switch and playing the music again. This is sighted of course, but each time without the ER in chain the music still sounds damn fine, but sounds overplayed, instruments within the mix are more muddled....I’ve tried this on several different genres of music tracks both known and unknown - same results each time - go figure?

Well I decided the other night to move my Nucleus+ to be closer to my ER and Streamer - As a result of this I also moved my JS2 which was powering the Nucleus. So now my Nucleus is connected directly to one of the ER “A” side ports (50cm AQ Vodka cable) -wow definitely improves the sound - even less congestion - result! 
 

Having a spare outlet on the JS2 - seemed silly not to try it at 12V straight into the ER.....double wow! I didn’t think you could strip any more haze from the window into the music - you most definitely can - the dynamics are even way better. I’ll have to try switching back to the stock PSU on the ER, to try and quantify what the ER is adding versus Nucleus being closer to the ER, but I’m loathed to change anything at the moment.  
 

I know Alex/John say a better PSU over stock is not needed - but in my configuration/system I would have to pop my head out the trench and disagree.

Have you tried listening using a MusicMask? I’ve been using a set of these for years - as they allow you to keep your eyes wide open but you see nothing and just hear the music - your attention level improves drastically.  I used to just close my eyes before, but ended up drifting into la la land

I hadn’t checked the site, as I brought mine years ago when they first came out. I’m sure if you contact them, they will let you know shipping times. Further down on the order page it says typical delivery time within 8 days. I would just check with them and ask..... they really do work,
