I particularly like that Jud & a few others reference outstanding albums/ tracks ... it’s a way into new musical paths, in addition to listening sonics for our tweaked gear.

Why would you use USB ?
 

If any Rendu should be considered, it should be opticalRendu. 
 

A usb regen after a Rendu is normally used with the Microrendu. (It’s equal the ultraRendu). 
 

Sell the SMS 200 and buy a clock from AfterDark. (Or a second EtherRegen 😀)

Consider 1. the upsides of the new mac M1 & 2. the usefulness of an NAA to mac upsampling ie optical rendu or say hqp naa.

Not ‘timeless’, more ‘technical’ (for me) - when comparing an in-place gear item with a replacement, what is the ‘listening’ effect of having to power down a clock, even short term

eg mucking around with those DX boxes (that JS was highly sceptical about) I turned off the modem & I guess there’d be a 10 minute lapse before it was all functioning again ... how long for the clock(s) involved to be where it was - so that an A-B is possible?
