As it states in the video description and credits, Leonard Cohen wrote the song. But this is from my interpretation of the album GRACE in its entirety, and based on the Jeff Buckley version." 89reksal 1 Sometimes it's like someone took a knife, baby Edgy and dull and cut a six inch valley Through the middle of my skull Link to comment

I could listen to her doing an ad jingle ... effortlessly caressing voice; superb sensibility in the jazz genre. Interesting. I've never thought of her as jazz singer. Any particular albums to recommend? Sometimes it's like someone took a knife, baby Edgy and dull and cut a six inch valley Through the middle of my skull Link to comment

WTF ??? The audiophile in me feels some resistance towards pricing this low. I got a surprise when I checked out the https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Doris_Day_discography, that there wasn't an obvious, later jazz album there. Just listen to a compilations album, and a song that reeks of superb, jazz singing technique apparently appeared on a 'pop' album - impeccable timing, control, doesn't get much better, IMO. I did a bit of research and this is the Doris Day compilations album that is most recommended.
