If so, that presents a completely different set of variables in so far as listening experiences. The big thread here at AS "massive improve..." or whatever it is, is similar in that many reviews are HP people (if memory serves) and readers really need to understand this as it isn't obvious unless one is familiar with said individuals. I'm not a HP person in the least - can't stand them and wish this was clearly stated upfront. This isn't a HP forum for the most part. Not at all. Speaker discussion is an important part of SBAF. Many of the senior members listen to their vinyl and speakers as much or more as phones. Changstar morphed into SBAF in late 2015. SBAF is definitely not another Head-Fi clone. In fact, because of a dust up years ago any mention of SBAF at Head-Fi is removed by moderators:) Link to comment

In fact, because of a dust up years ago any mention of SBAF at Head-Fi is removed by moderators:) Hmmm,...I'm not privy to the history et al, but when I visited not too long ago it appeared to be mostly all HP and even the forum "mission" stated it was basically a HP environment so to speak. I could be wrong or misinterpreted it, but I couldn't leave fast enough as it was "I'm right, you don't know squat and if you don't like it, don't let the door hit you on the way out" That was after a few min of scanning some threads and was like WTF? Again, I'm not familiar with that forum and if I'm off base I apologize for inferring something different. Not sure why I even brought it up I just caught the end of this thread and thought I would put in my $.02 Anyway I'm evaluating a new toy so I'm out! My rig Link to comment

Honestly Miska you and Amir are both really bright and capable engineers. Amir is able to account for his approaches and even admit when he's been in error. I vaguely remember that thread, although it is not really interesting one and cannot remember anymore what it was about. I don't have any particular interest on any PS Audio gear (I don't own any and I'm not really interested to own any, just doesn't fit my requirements). Not sure what you are hinting. I'm not referring in particular to Amir, he's not particularly active talking there. There are many other people who post much more there. I tried to contribute some of my measurements on the forum, but instead got attacked because the results weren't what they wanted/expected. And it is not really possible to discuss anything there either. So in the end everybody is happier when I stay away. andrewinukm and Jud 2 Signalyst - Developer of HQPlayer Pulse & Fidelity - Software Defined Amplifiers Link to comment

Not sure what other threads that was going on in. There was some good debate in the thread I mentioned and nothing more than that. Link to comment

I've done some so far... The four high level tones are the test signal, everything else is distortion. In this respect, PCM vs DSD doesn't make much difference, since the behavior is mostly driven by analog stages. Do you have TIM measurement of your RME, and holo spring too? Link to comment

KDinsmore
The Chassis on this is like MSB DAC. I stumbled on this yesterday and I am really interested in hearing one. I do believe in bench testing or at least opening the hood and seeing what is underneath.
