The fuss around OS 'updates' is due to them breaking programs and apps people use, including Apple's own software.

I think that people get excited at the prospect of a new OS in spite of the inevitable problems it arises...

I am happy to inform those following this thread that the column browser will return with the next macOS update. It is available in the 10.15.2 beta, and works as previously.

Bingo!

Wonderful news - but will wait for release of 10.15.2 before changing to Catalina.

Glad that column browser is back but what happened to the ability to view album art in Songs view. Didn't that used to be an option in "View Options"?

A deal breaker for me.

Lots of new emoji.

Apple releases emoji that have been approved by the Unicode organization. They don't make up their own. Both iOS and Android have the same emoji.
