But if you are counting 6 boxes, that includes the DAC. So it would be 4 boxes in your system vs. 6 boxes in his system. The two extra boxes are linear power supplies. It's actually one of the best things you can do in such system. In fact, if you are using the stock SMPS in your system, replacing those with good LPS's would be the natural step up. Ralf11 Posted August 1, 2019 Share Posted August 1, 2019 I do think it is worthwhile exploring some galvanic isolation between the mini and the etc. I use WiFi; @jabbr uses optical fiber (which permits hiRes, upsampling, etc.) But your (wired?) Ethernet may be enough. Or Mc's DAC may isolate the input - you could ask them. Or try just one more little box ... Link to comment
