I have one of each JCAT cards and they are connected to Mojo Audio Internal Regulator Modules then connected to a DC input.  It all came out of my HTPC.

The cards are about 1 year old but was only really used for the last 4 months or so.  Mojo Audio installed the cards and the IRMs into said computer.

When I first connected the computer up it had a ATX power supply installed and I used the full set as you see it together and it sounded great to me.  I never heard the JCATs with the modules so no relative comparison.  Then all of it ran off of the HDPLex 400 watt LPS and it sounded fantastic for the Roon Core on the HTPC sent to my 2 channel system.  Do your own research if you are interested in the modules.  I can't answer anything for you about them.  They are 250.00 each new.
