People can respond in detail but this is more of a "Should I have chicken or fish for supper?" The answer is whatever you like, and it's the same for the standalone or the DAC/Amplifier combo. You don't mention what source you will be using for your music, and what quality that might be. That will make a difference in whatever anyone recommends. Link to comment
