Popular Post jriver
You may have followed JRiver's entry into lossless streaming during the last six months, but there are some new aspects that expand the experience. Here's a quick summary: Cloudplay uses playlist uploads by users to generate Radio JRiver stations. https://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php/topic,120166.msg830680.html#msg830680 You can listen to your playlists or those of others from any location, using JRiver. JRiver pays the license fees. It's listener supported. You pay what you think it's worth. It requires JRiver Media Center 25. It's 100% lossless. We've just added the ability to generate playlists using a seed file or files that you provide from your local library. MC then finds compatible files from our server and adds them to your playlist. This is effectively a custom radio station. More here: https://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php/topic,120871.msg835668.html#msg835668 Enter any artist, for example, in Play Doctor and here's what you get. I started with a local file from Etta James and allowed "more variety", but 100% from the server. The file locations are shown on the right side. mozes and flak 2 Jim Hillegass / JRiver Media Center / jriver.com Link to comment
jriver
We should hit 100,000 files in the next month or so. 316 users 1346 playlists 87719 tracks You can now search for an artist and Play Doctor will build a playlist of that artist and other similar artists. https://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php/topic,121674.0.html Jim Hillegass / JRiver Media Center / jriver.com Link to comment

STC
I haven’t tried cloudplay yet but the JRiver Radio sounds very good. I hope all of the tracks are 2.0 format and not multichannel. Still a novice here trying to use DAW for live performance and so far I only managed to get 2 channel streaming correctly but accidental playing of multichannel will send full signal directly to the amp. Jim, can you confirm all files are 2.0? Thank you. ST ST My Ambiophonics System with Virtual Concert Hall Ambience Link to comment
jriver
There are some multi-channel tracks and some high-res tracks. JRiver Media Center will convert if necessary. STC 1 Jim Hillegass / JRiver Media Center / jriver.com Link to comment
