But they are making great art AND supporting their families. If the publishers and streaming companies would agree to pay the people actually making the music their fair share, maybe more rock and jazz musicians could do that too. Link to comment

FredericV
To my surprise, Tidal has no MQA version of this track "3.9_3-wo-ai-ni.0cc", just a redbook version - but for those who have seen the show, this sounds great in both redbook as on the Blu Ray version of season 3 - which is 24 bit 48 Khz: One of my FB peers seems to be able to see the 24/192 version on Amazon: Too bad Amazon does not publish an API Designer of the 432 EVO music server and Linux specialist Discoverer of the independent open source sox based mqa playback method with optional one cycle postringing. FredericV
I guess we need Amazon Music Unlimited for the ultra hd, and not Amazon Prime Music? Quote The biggest difference between Prime Music and Amazon Music Unlimited is the number of available songs: Prime streaming offers about 2 million tracks, where Amazon Music Unlimited offers “tens of millions” of songs https://music.amazon.com/EU/help?nodeId=202204440 Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Estonia, Finland, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, and Sweden Amazon Music Unlimited Update: the service works, but how do I see what resolution I'm in? Not seeing ultra HD. Using the desktop app on windows 7. Also have W10 but prefer 7. Using my amazon.de account, I can clearly see the Ultra HD page:https://www.amazon.de/music/unlimited/hd But when I click on the 90 days offer, on the next page I cannot switch my subscription to Ultra HD. So probably limited to Germany only? Sorry to be a bit off topic, but I have been pleasantly surprised that fewer of the new jazz and classical releases on Tidal are MQA. There was a time when almost everything listed in the "new" section had that little "M" symbol, but lately that trend has been reversed. It could be a temporary anomaly or just wishful thinking on my part, but I remain optimistic. Link to comment

Amazon Music HD is a further upgrade from Amazon Music Unlimited, but it may not be available in your country. Shimei
Purchased Amazon unlimited with HD last night. My Onkyo PR-5100RZ does have the app. Listening to an album I was going to buy on CD but for 12.95 a month I saved that expense. Out of my whole collection the two best sounding CDs I've run across are both from Jesse Cook, "One World" and "Beyond borders". If you have Amazon Unlimited HD search for it. Jesse Cook has over 10 platinum albums and "was" a Latino guitarist. However, these last two albums are rather unique in that it seems a new genre is unfolding called "global". I'll just post a youtube url so you may understand the global genre which seemingly makes use of melodies and instruments that are culturally known: left channel 1 SMSL M400 DAC Bluesound Node 2i Sony 65 inch OLED A8G, Sony 4k Blue Ray X700 Parasound Halo A31 Amplifier Tekton Ulfberht Speakers w/ Be high frequency upgrade [4 ohms ea.] Two Tekton Active [300 watts rms] 4-10 Subwoofers Link to comment

I recently signed up for Amazon HD as well and I'm finding tons of music that I like. The Station feature is great for this. One annoying thing is the inability to "bookmark" artists in the desktop app. You can "Follow" them but there doesn't seem to be any way to see the artists that you're following. One of my favorite performances by him is his live, Montreal cd. JC Shimei 1 Link to comment
Popular Post Leroy Bad
I think the update may have happened a about 2 weeks ago, I just never noticed. But just a heads up, the current version of Amazon Music now includes the option to choose an output audio device and an exclusive mode. 57gold
Signed up for free trial of HD version as a Prime member. Been streaming on my iPhone with wireless earbuds, $35 from Amazon, big selection. Tried it this weekend, my wife and daughters dig Elton John and I have only two CDs ripped, the live one from 1971 which rocks and YBR. So I selected his first album and Tumbleweed, both idefified as Deluxe Edition and played them on my WiFi connected Mini, which is 6 feet (through a plaster board wall) from a new Netgear hub and Speedtest shows I'm getting 100mbps over WiFi. Mytek B+ displayed that it was playing a HD 24/192 file...but it sounded crappy, kind of harsh??? So, do I need to drill a hole in the wall and connect the Mini to the router with an ethernet cable to get decent sound? Tone with Soul Link to comment
