"The overwhelming majority [of audiophiles] have very little knowledge, if any, about the most basic principles and operating characteristics of audio equipment. They often base their purchasing decisions on hearsay, and the preaching of media sages. Unfortunately, because of commercial considerations, much information is rooted in increasing revenue, not in assisting the audiophile. It seems as if the only requirements for becoming an "authority" in the world of audio is a keyboard."

My guess is that there will still be an iTunes app, to manage libraries, sync content, and back up devices. These newer Marzipan apps will be exactly like the iOS apps, offering options to people who want to use them.

Why not not use Roon instead (if you can afford it)?

I'm sure we all have a wish list for iTunes and probably doesn't match...

Roon is not for listeners who focus on the music, rather than read background material.

funny, but a little harsh

what about soundtracks, music videos, the synesthesia from driving a car on a twisty road while listening?
