Rob-quad
Hi, I have just received the Katana player plus Isolator board and I'm having problems getting it set up for the first time. Any help in pointing me in the right direction to diagnose what is wrong will be much appreciated. This is a katana player plug and play that i received already built with the isolator board and Raspberry Pi and so all I've done is download the Volumio image and put it on the card. On the config wizard I changed the output to the Allo Katana and restarted. However, when i play any music file from my attached drive I get an error 'Failed to open ALSA device "hw:1,0": No such file or directory. As far as I can see from the web interface Volumio seems to when i ssh in to the Pi and run 'aplay -l' it doesn't list the katana dac i took a look at the /boot/config.txt file and i see the line: dtoverlay=allo-katana-dac-audio Do I need to do another step to get the Katana registered or 'made visible' ? Marcus28
Hi to the comunity. I use this thread, even if I was not opening it. I meet same trouble as sumarised by it's title : I can't hear any sound from Katana + Isolator using Volumio. I was device I was receiving my ready to play device Xmast 2018, but found no time until now to set it up / try it. I confirm respecting technical manual as I remind below : Connect a 5V 3A PSU to the MC board and another one to the typeC of the Isolator board. Follow power up sequence. Step 1: on KATANA place J30 jumper (close the circuit) Step 2: on Micro Controller board, place jumper on J26 (position 2 & 3) Step 3: First power MC with 5V 3A PSU connected to the typeC USB Step 4: Second power Isolator with 5V 3A PSU connected to the typeC usb connector No led flashing, Volumio running files connected USB to DAC, and Volume level at 30% from dashboard. Is there something I miss ? Link to comment
