Gramms Posted March 15, 2019 Share Posted March 15, 2019 Do NVMe SSD's compare favorably to externally powered SATA SSD's? I've noticed playback from an 5400 RPM HDD to reveal more detail than a TLC SATA SSD when both are powered from the motherboard. As such I was wondering if adding a separate power supply for the SATA SSD or perhaps a MLC NVMe SSD would be a more worthwhile upgrade regarding OS storage. Link to comment
