it boots from USB just enable legacy in bios.

There is the option for roonbridge and squeezelite so if you run into the roonbridge bug you can test with squeezelite.

I think the ram cache feature is carried out by the software player, eg. the stylus player, roon doesn't do it.

i use ROON also. HQPlayer with NAA doesn’t work with Auralic Aries. I’d guess Euphony/Stylus can’t either ?

The new version supports upnp/dnla you could connect via ethernet to your Aries.
