OK, this is weird-

My Mac D 150 has Direct and Integer Modes, but says it is NOT DSD capable, which of course it is.

Maybe I need to trash the Prefs, again, for the 3rd time.

Direct and Integer are not listed for Mytek 192/DSD Dac.

OK, I trashed Prefs again, Mac D 150 has Int Mode, no Direct Mode, DSD128.

Mytek is only getting DSD 64, no Int Mode, no Direct Mode.

Trashing Prefs previously got DSD 128 w/Mytek, not this time..

I don't know why I'm getting these inconsistencies.

It's greyed-out when Mytek is registering only DSD 64.

Previously, deleting Prefs fixed it, twice actually. Not now, tho.

Hi, I'm on High Sierra, no hack.

Maybe whoever Has Direct Mode has the earlier OS,

or has done the hack.

Mytek is no longer getting DSD 128.

I was hoping Damien worked out a replacement for Direct Mode,

I guess not.

I can live with that.

The inconsistency with my Dacs getting DSD 128 is wearing me out.

No more AV for today!

Trashed Prefs one last time, Mytek and Mac D 150 back getting DSD 128.

I thought Direct Mode was back, my misunderstanding.

So all is well, but I don't like having to Trash the Prefs so often.

Mytek has reverted to DSD 64, while computer slept.

Last time i opened AV, Mytek got DSD 128.

Opened it again just now, no DSD 128, again, again, again.

Maybe AV needs an additional Update, I don't know.

Mytek 192/DSD is back getting DSD 128.

I trashed only the AV Prefs, not AV+ also as before.

I didn't have to enter Key and DSD 128 is back and playing.

For how long, I don't know.

Mytek seems to the only DAC effected. ( Affected? )

AV 3.5 is not retaining Prefs for Mytek.

It's back to only getting DSD 64.

Disappointing, but I have Lampi and Mac.

About the selection to keep the screen from going to sleep:

I like to use the Energy Saver ( Mac ) to turn off the screen when listening.

Any downside to that?

I can't hear a difference, W/Wo screen on,

but am curious that AV seems to want it on.

AV3.5 is working great with my Lampizator Euforia, but the Mytek kept losing it's prefs, and reverting to only DSD 64.

Fixable, but have to repeat it too much.

Very happy with AV/Lampi however!

In Artist/Album View, mine is fine.

If I add a File to my Music Folder, ( Mac ), it appears on AV.

And Vice-Versa.

I don't have to Do anything, it's automatic.

Does the Audio Family Kext Mac Hack have any effect on other Audio Software on Mac?

I also use Finale, Korg Audiogate, HQ.

I'm assuming it doesn't, but I have someone lined up to do the Hack for me, and I want to be sure!

I am planning to have the High Sierra Direct Mode Hack done.

I just want to be sure it won't affect other Software, like HQ or Korg Audiogate.

Do you also have HQ?

I run AV, HQ, Audiogate, Finale and Decibal on High Sierra.

I can't imagine what the problems might be.

I had Sierra preciously, didn't noticed any difference when

moving to HS.

Actually, I've heard of problems with Mojave on some software, I guess Finale.

They are up to Catalina now, but i don't think my Computer ( 2013 iMac ) is compatible.

I heard the current Macs have some kind of chip problem that messes up Computer Audio.

I would hate to buy a new computer, only to have it have unforeseen problems!

I'm riding into the Sunset on my current setup...

I push the Slider up to Linear.

I think the 75% setting is the Default.

I use Linear Phase on HQ,  tried it with the new Audirvana, seems good.
