Installed 3.5.1 (3530) yesterday, OSX 10.11.6 El Capitan.  Migrated from A+ 3.2.16.

 

In the previous version of A+ the "Int" text for integer mode would go green when in use.  In 3.5.1 it does not.  The "SysOpt" text does go green.  I have Exclusive Access, Integer Mode, and Direct Access all selected.  I have tried integer modes 1 and 2 with the same result.

 

I wonder if integer mode is not working OR just the green highlight is not working. No changes in hardware made during this process.

 

I checked debug info while playing a track, and it indicates HOG mode is on.  Is there anything else to check ?

 

 

On the new version 3.5 the text INT is white and not green like the ols version 3.2
Integer mode is white  on your Audirvana and means is working!

I’ve been getting quite a few random crashes.  Often crashes when I quit A+.  But has crashed other times, seemingly for no reason.

I deleted my old stable version 2.6.........
Because I expected a stable 3.5 version.
Is there a download link for the old version?

I stream Tidal and use a Macbook Air.
Why do I come up with the colorful apple ball on the cursor over and over again? There are no applications except Safari.
The reloading of the songs lasts and partially falters.
Very annoying

Any news about Leedh processing?  it is an algorithm that had to improve the quality of the sound and which Damien had bought the rights.  I thought it would be integrated in the new version.

AU Plugins realtime control does not work here (without realtime control AU Plugins work as supposed to).

Is this a known bug and will be fixed in a future update?

They didn’t work for me either at first.  I turned off real time and they worked.  Turned real time back on, and they’ve worked ever since....

 

3.5 still crashes a lot though...

3.5.1: Search results cannot be sorted in track view. This was possible in 3.2 and it is very important that it is possible. Thanks.

as already reported, there is a problem with metadata search in 3.5: some Ensembles are not displayed in Search results.

 

I've just added a new album in which the Ensemble is "Insula Orchestra", as you can see in the attached images "Insula Orchestra" is  listed in Ensemble and Artist but the search result is null (... but it is listed in the Ensemble filter)

This happens with other Ensembles (some of them)

 

Browsing Audirvana DB with DB Browser for SQLite I could find that "Insula Orchestra" is checked as "is_ensemble" but not as "is_performer". I could find that other ensembles not checked as "is_performer" give null result in Search view ....

 

Going on in my research I could find that many ensembles appear in Artist track metadata too (I don't know why as I never fill Artist with ensemble name. I always, and only, put it in the Ensemble field) and they are listed in search results.

 

It should be noted that my Audirvana DB was migrated through the various versions of Audirvana starting from March 2014

 

I forgot to mention that the same ensemble is listed in search results with A+ 3.2.16 ...

No crashes here, but I don't do a lot with Audirvana, just listening to music randomly. The only crash I got was wen I was trying to use ReplayGain with a kind of faulty album and want to quit Audirvana, then I have to force a stop, but I am confident that Damien will solve this issue.

Audirvana collects the content of the fields "ensemble" and "soloist" in "artists". Unfortunately I must say. This feature exists since version 3 I guess. There are many controversal discussions about this feature earlier in this forum.

If you look inside the file with a tagging app you will see, that Audirvana does not wright the content in "artist" - it's just indicated. HTH.

Using Yate I can see the ensemble name inside the Artist field, not always btw.

I can remember that in some A+ 2.x.x versions the application (A+) was copying the ensemble in the artist field. I sent Damien a message about this behavior. It doesn’t happen anymore....

I did some more in-depth tests.

If you use the Audirvana metadata editor then the contents of the Ensemble and Solista fields are copied, written, into the Artist field. In fact so it turns out if I go to see the contents of the fields with Yate.
So the behavior of the application since version 2.5.99.12 has not changed.
But in this version (3.5.1) for the value of the Ensemble field the database "is_performer" flag is not updated to 1, so it is not shown in the search results ... this what I suppose

I can't get AV to recognize DSD 128 for my Mytek 192/DSD Dac.

The Box to change rates is greyed out.

I had this problem with my McIntosh D150, but finally found where to select it.

I can't find it for the Mytek.

Very frustrating so far.

Checking the Stereo Only box didn't help.
