Hi Buddies, some practical questions need your advices:

1. Can ISO Regen be used on iPhone and iPad?

2. What if directly connect to lightening port?

3. What if connect through camera tool kit?

4. If it works, how is the sound improvement compared with being used for PC?

Thanks lot!

1. Yes with this: https://www.apple.com/shop/product/MK0W2AM/A/lightning-to-usb-3-camera-adapter

2. No, need above adapter.

3. Yes, need above adapter.

4. Can be very good but depends on the DAC.

With some DACs, you may need to charge your phone/iPad at the same time as the iPhone/iPad may not supply enough current (if the DAC needs it). There is a lightning port on the adapter to allow simultaneously charging.

Which USB DAC?

@Em2016 saved me some typing and gave you all correct answers.  (Thanks Sean!)

I will add that we actually have a fairly large number of REGEN users (both original USB REGEN and more advanced ISO REGEN) using the device with an iPad/iPhone (or Android) with fine results.

Sonic benefits of improved signal integrity and impedance match (the primary purposes of our REGENs), their use with iPhone/iPad also solves the 5VBUS power issue.  iOS will not allow connection of devices that draw more than about 100mA, and many DACs' USB inputs require at least that.  Our (externally powered) REGENs take care of that by providing ample (up to 1 amp) clean 5VBUS power to DACs that need it--while they themselves draw from iPad VBUS either zero current (USB REGEN) or just 20ma (ISO REGEN for the upstream side of its isolator chip).
