what is the best audiophile switch?

Not sure which model, but you can usually only have one uplink at a time - sfp or ethernet. Try connecting the ethernet in into one of the regular ports.

No, the last two should be inputs and outputs (ethernet goes both ways in order to 'talk' back and forth) but you can only use one port and not both at the same time, so you have to choose between RJ45 or SFP.
