The concept of SoC incorporating IO and processing has become ubiquitous e.g. https://www.mellanox.com/products/bluefield2-overview so that would be extraordinary overkill but literally NAA could run on the NIC -- no one would ever do that would they ... hmm ... By the way, you have probably noticed that Nvidia purchased Mellanox. It is all about massive computations in data centers. Popular Post StreamFidelity
I couldn't resist and bought the T + A SDV 3100 HV. The built-in preamplifier gets along perfectly with the T + A M10 monos. 😁 The sparkling clean structure can be seen through the hatch. And here in operation with DSD 256 and Network Audio (NAA). The possible uses are very versatile. Streaming services such as TIDAL or Qobuz and Internet radio can also be played without an audio PC. If I should buy a turntable again, there is an analog input for it. Blue-Ray players and televisions can be connected via HDMI. In my constellation I was interested in USB and NAA (Network Audio Adapter) via the fis Audio PC. USB running right away, but network access was a struggle. Only after setting the router to IPv6 did I get a stable connection. The setting in the HQPlayer was found quickly: backend with NetworkAudioAdapter IPv6 and device with T + A Network Audio. Connection with XILINX Solarflare Flareon Ultra SFN8522 - fiber optic network adapter in fis Audio PC. The data were streamed from the NAS with Roon Server (approx. 4-5MBit/s). In the HQPlayer, the data including room correction are converted to DSD and distributed over the network (25MBit/s). I really like the Ethernet connection via NAA. If I understood correctly, a small NAA board with the HQPlayer NAA software was installed in DAC. I've been hearing with NAA for days and the connection is ultra stable. Interesting technical insights can be found at the beginning of this thread. I had a variety of DACs such as Linn Klimax, T + A MP 3000 HV, Holo Audio Spring or Denafrips Terminator Plus. Although I can't make any direct comparisons, I claim to have achieved the best sound so far. I enjoy a deep, precise bass foundation, wonderful timbres, superb instrument separation and high-resolution clarity that only perfectly constructed systems can offer. Incidentally, I have no business relationship with T + A. I bought the SDV 3100 HV for my own pleasure. 😉 baconbrain, louisxiawei, Holzohr and 3 others 2 4 Grigg Audio Solutions Owner StreamFidelitys Setup: Sonus Faber Amati Futura | T+A M10 | T+A SDV 3100 HV | fis Audio PC & Server | GigaWatt PC4-EVO+ | JCAT OPTIMO S ATX | FARAD Super10 & Super3 | Keces P8 | Afterdark Buffalo Switch | fis Audio Cables | Solidsteel HJ-3 / HY-A Link to comment
Holzohr
Congrats, Gabriel! Probably the T+A SDV 3100 HV is a must have for such a hardcore HQPlayer user like you and also nice you have a remote control again. 😉 Euphony (NUC7DNKE: Roon or Stylus) --> Euphony EP (NUC7CJYH: Roon Bridge or NAA or StylusEP) --> Matrix Audio X-SPDIF 2 --> Matrix Audio X-Sabre Pro (MQA) (I2S) --> Euphony (NUC7DNKE: Roon) --> WS 2019 Core (i7-8700: HQPlayer, JPLAY Femto, Roon Bridge, MinorityClean) / Matrix Audio Element H --> Matrix Audio X-Sabre Pro (MQA) (USB) --> B & M Prime 6 Synology DS 112+ (LMS) --> pi3B+/HifiBerry Digi + Pro (PiCorePlayer) --> Matrix Audio X-Sabre Pro (MQA) (SPDIF) --> bedroom: pi3/DigiOne (RoPieee) --> S.M.S.L M500 --> KRK Rokit 5 or AKG 712 Pro Link to comment
StreamFidelity
Hi Mario, many thanks. When do you want to come back in my listening room? StreamFidelity
The T+A SDV 3100 HV has NAA on board and I asked T+A support if a NAA update was in the works. The answer was that NAA has the software version 4.4. How does this different versioning come about? Is this really newer then 4.3? Would an update on the part of T+A make sense? tdx
Reviving this thread, I was wondering if more than 4 years after the announcement of the HV series, there are any other newer/more affordable DACs that can take an NAA DSD1024 or at least DSD512 signal over Ethernet? Or is the HV line still the only and expensive game in town? Thanks Link to comment

But you could use DAC200 (up to DDS1024) or PSD3100HV (up to DSD512) with an external NAA. Presuming you don’t just mean from T&A, then https://ifi-audio.com/products/neo-stream/ looks to be one example. Signalyst site lists devices with built in NAA, but most aren’t affordable DACs (depending on your definition of affordable) Link to comment
