120 Volt USA power distribution block

I am looking for a USA Power Distribution box with 4 outlets.  I do not want and line conditioning.  Just good quality and simple 120 volt distribution.  Any ideas welcome

You could make your own!  You need 1110 metal boxes, metal covers and the receptacle of your choice.  Connect them together end to end with 1/2" conduit nipples and locknuts with a cord set from the last one.  Total material under $100.

Or you could just buy one. Plastic ones are perfectly acceptable and can be had many places for about US$3.00 each on up (depending on where you buy them)

I've never seen one wired with 18 Ga wire. All the one's I've seen use either 14 Ga wire or the cheap ones use copper busses (which double as the plug contacts). You're right about the cheap varistor, but they all have them across the input.
