coleb13
I've been playing with this and it is interesting but can I really draw valid conclusions from it? https://www.crutchfield.com/speakercompare/ "It lets you compare sonic characteristics between speakers so that you can make a more informed shopping decision." Paul R
I think it is definitely very very cool. I do not know how accurate it actually is, or how they tuned it for any specific set of headphones. Still cool. And it can only get better. Anyone who considers protocol unimportant has never dealt with a cat DAC. Robert A. Heinlein Link to comment
Doak
VERY interesting concept. Now if it would be done with more and better speakers instead of the bottom of the line ones represented would be much more interesting. The Jamo were the only ones from which I heard any bass, though was fairly wooly - expected at their price point. Doak's Audio System Link to comment

The only general conclusion you can draw is that it might sound similar in the nearfield, at low volume levels. You won't be able to know how it will interact with the room or even what kind of dynamic capabilities it has. Link to comment
