Popular Post Ralf11
The real question is how could a switch affect audio quality - the only thing I see is the low noise clock & use of optical fiber. But neither is explained in the review, nor is it necessary to spend this kind of $$ to get those things, even assuming they will increase SQ. It is not really a review at all. Even assuming arguendo that some unknown mechanism is operating to improve SQ, the 'review' does not provide any valid comparison with anything else. Ralf11 and AudioDoctor 2 Link to comment
Ralf11
he must mean upstream of the device in question optical/WiFi could conceivably introduce some noise, just as any device does, but there is no reason to suppose it to be anything like the noise of a wired device (not claiming wired Ethernet is noisy tho...) there ARE ways to be sure... Ralf11
well, same for output resistance & Temperature variation but the key is "how much"... Link to comment
Ralf11
re: "120 processes vs 100 or under some minimal vs heavier load" I am still waiting to just see the posts on Bill's mac thread about which processes should be turned off to increase the SQ. on a not so related topic, "30-day, money-back guarantees on products" makes it very easy to run your own blind test Link to comment
