skids929 Posted January 6, 2021 Share Posted January 6, 2021 I agree, I think the HIRES files sound more like the recording. Although not sure if it's more resolution I am picking up on. My DAC (Rockna) reads the signal it's getting and displays it, and it wasn't until I changed to Qobuz that it read and displayed the actual signal above 44k. On Tidal "HiFi" and "Master" all display 44k . Maybe it's the DAC and how it reads the files, or that it can't read MQA. It can certainly read those resolutions, maybe MQA is a proprietary file.
