I think you owe it to yourself to at least try the "premium" interconnects from: mycablemart.com They are cheap and nicely made. I have been using them for a decade and buy them in half-meter and meter lengths in groups of 5 or 10 to insure that I always have some on hand to replace failures (never had one) or for new equipment. They are well made with excellent strain relief, are not too stiff, have gold-flashed terminations, and use real RG-59 cable. Give 'em a try. Sound-wise, they are entirely neutral. I had no idea, they look quality RCA interconnects to me ... cables and connectors plus @ $24 and $36/pair (3-foot and 4-foot long respectively) are not outrageous prices.
