Popular Post left channel
Overall, I like it the new approach. "Computer" is a bit limiting and very dated, I agree. What we discuss here is modern audio, period. But honestly, I find the word "Style" vaguely embarrassing. I can refer anyone in Silicon Valley to Computer Audiophile for information. But "Style"? Definition aside, some will take that to mean shallow, expensive, and pretentious. Not that I have a better idea. And the world is not all geeks and nerds, so OK, best of luck to you. pedalhead, jzahr, Mark Dirac and 1 other 4 Everyone wants to date my avatar. Link to comment

left channel
Last time I was at Magnolia AV inside Best Buy, they had laser-printed a little sign touting a product for "Audiofiles". And no they didn't mean tracks or files of any kind. Sigh. wgscott 1 Everyone wants to date my avatar. Link to comment

Popular Post left channel
OK. I've been trying to suppress this further comment, but I have to say I would have renamed the site "Modern Audiophile". And it's not our site, we can pile on all we want, yet Chris doesn't have to listen to us and is probably already numb to all our whining. It's not like this is a poll or something. When someone posts to a thread I'm following, I get a notification at the top of my page. We don't have that option here, it's either email notifications or nothing. Some threads go hog wild and monopolize my inbox, which is annoying. PS Audiophile Style is my favourite website for content. On Head-Fi I turned on emails for when someone quotes, mentions, or PMs me there, as it's often a question. I also only have it notify me at the top of the web pages when it's one of those three things, plus likes. For threads I'm following, on both sites I just check the "subscribed threads" / "content I follow" lists, which for me allows better time management. Everyone wants to date my avatar. I won't make the change unless I can figure a way to make it user selectable. Thanks for not making it mandatory. I find it hard to follow conversations when comments are organized that way, and I'm sure I'm not alone.
