hifi25nl
Go to console, switch to root user, and type ramsave What is the output? (you can send this to support email) Take into account that ramsave will not save... if the installation hard disk is mounted. To check this in terminal: df -H AudioLinux --> https://www.audio-linux.com developer of AudioLinux realtime OS Link to comment

adamthebrave
Is there a description how to install Jriver on AL 2.0 LQXT? Link to comment
hifi25nl
For Jriver in LXQt you can install it on a terminal with pamac build jriver-media-center25 For headless ramroot with 4GB RAM, is not recommended and in most of cases impossible. I have made a reduced size test image with only roonbridge installed that should work. Ramroot configuration at /etc/ramroot.conf should be changed from default values. Note: in last menu update you can set the value of RAM and "virtual hard disk size" ZRAM AudioLinux --> https://www.audio-linux.com developer of AudioLinux realtime OS Link to comment

Solid-State
" I have made a reduced size test image with only roonbridge installe " Could you do the same with ONLY MPD/UpmpdCli/ALSA and Installed and nothing else, Link to comment
Solid-State
Or maybe do a Image with nothing installed, but in menu option to install what you need/want to minimize size Monge 1 Link to comment

Popular Post hifi25nl
Version 2.1.0 is out! 1) Full system update 2) New AUR package manager yay 3) Removed all audio applications installed. Now you can install only what you need, reducing the size of the image (2.7 GB after drive installation) 4) Menu updated to version 206 with option to set MPD music directory, "RAMROOT configuration" in System menu, UPDATE menu completely re-designed. Now you can install/reinstall/remove all audio applications. bodiebill
Thanks Piero, starting ramroot has become even faster 🙂 Just one thing: when cloning to another drive the cloning script is changing the UUID of the UEFI partition, but the ramroot configuration file still has the previous one. So I had to fix this by following your advice to edit the ramroot.conf file so that it has mounts_zram='' (empty instead of wrong UUID). Maybe you can modify the script in the next menu? audio system Link to comment

hifi25nl
@bodibill I discovered that problem some days ago, so I added a line to fix this to clone script in previous menu version. Boomboy
Piero .. what's the best way to update ? I normally update via root pacman -Syyu then update menu . or can I update via audiolinux menu ? Link to comment
Popular Post hifi25nl
Yes this is the best method for official packages. However, since most of audio applications (Roon. HQPlayer, etc.) are in the user repository AUR, from menu 206 you can update everything with yay -Syu --noconfirm This will not update the kernel, since kernel is "on hold" on the pacman configuration file, because sometime Audiolinux is using a patched BFQ realtime kernel and kernel compilation would take a very long time. You can update all using menu in this sequence: 1) Audiolinux menu 2) System update 3) Kernel update Take into account what I have said before: The updating process in Audiolinux is done with 1) Audiolinux menu 2) Kernel. This is compiled by audiolinux with some changes. Since a full system update could be necessary before new kernel installation, please see disclaimer at point 3) 3) System update, not controlled by Audiolinux. This is standard Archlinux update. In some cases system update could be problematic for users not expert in linux. This is a normal occurrence in linux "rolling release" like Audiolinux/ArchlinuxA norml user does not need to make a system update. Menu update is enough. If you decide to update, please do it frequently, before installation is too old. Audiolinux will release a new version every 2 months with full package update, if the user want to reinstall an updated OS. bodiebill
Thanks, I tried that and it still says 'Audiolinux main menu - version 206' on top. Should I download the latest image? That takes about two hours, hence my question. audio system Link to comment
