you probably should have done a ramdiskreset...

I always do...

now I can not use even when the system is not in ram ... librespot outputs to usb whatever the setting

Sq.teR2 sees and plays from the HAT

depends on how you configure them...

post me the results of:

aplay -l

cat /etc/conf.d/squeezelite-R2

cat /etc/conf.d/librespot

image.png.5f4e1da74177fc5bb3b9722f0c8c6761.png

I configured R2 to HAT this time

But librespot can't output to HAT even though I have set it to HAT

this screenshot tells me it's not configured...if you did it afterwards I don't know....

tells me that R2 is configured on the HAT and librespot is not configured.

if you don't configure the audio output to librespot it always tries to use the default (which can also vary according to boot order).

well I do not know what is going on but I configure it from the web interface but it does not accept the configuration

that's why I gave the command multiple times after reconfiguring it

OK, I checked there's a bug in the librespot configuration script, that's why it didn't work for @Olaf

test from terminal:

cp -R /etc/shairport-sync.conf  /etc/conf.d/librespot

/etc/init.d/librespot restart

image.png.bf1b757e00299bd7175cc34d89913fdb.png

now it's OK
hopefully it will be stable too!!

can I put system in RAM now?

Thank you!

For me it's far more tricky to install than either RopieeXL or Volumio...

I have downloaded the archive for Raspi4 and flash it with etcher Baleno...

Obviously it's not the way to go since the Raspi4 still can see Ropie on 192.168.1.27 instead of Gentooplayer?

Is it mandatory also to instal on the PC to get any chance to have a web interface working?

Thank you in advance

You said if the installation went well?

How to know?

I simply put the microSD card with the successfully flashed software on it...

But i never could get connected in the browsser with the correct IP provided from angry scannerIP...

So I'm stuck with this uneasy installation...

YES i used IP-GentooPlayer:5000...? and never could get anything...?

So i checked also what's inside the microSD card: 2 partitions:

No name with 369,1 MO

Untitled with 15,21 GO

I tried using either a MacBookPro 15" laptop or a Toshiba Z30 with Windows10

The Mac machine was wifi connected to the network while the Toshiba attached with an ethernet cable to an ethernet switch connected to my BOX...

Let me know what was wrong?

OK i had not yet asked for a License, because i want to test for free before...

Hi Antonello,

What a pleasure to have you so quiskly answering!

I saw in the how to install that the web interface works only on PC or Tablet!?

so typing ssh root@ip-Gentooplayer on my Mac laptop will never give me ssh [email protected]???

Yesterday when trying to do that The Mac was not linked by Ethernet cable to the network...

I also tried on the PC linked by cable to the network using Putty with no success also...?

you must only put xxx.xxx.x.x..x:5000 to your browser
SSH is another thing
you need ethernet (for starting) for the rpi not the computer ... the computer will go to the web interface regardless wifi or ethernet

I may have a network issue or my micro SD Card had an issue wth Etcher flashing it on the PC...?

OK.. if antonello is taking care of the issue it will be solved!!
