Thanks! already found it through your "find" command. My lack of simple command line skills is obvious sorry.

Music is playing now, it sounds rather strange than good but I guess I mixed something up with the filters...

Thank you very much!

Hi @antonellocaroli

I also did not find Gparted in the Xcfe Menu (Gui).

Any help is welcome.

Thanks

Antonio

gparted is not installed, but in fact you don't need it to resize the root partition, GP does it automatically the first time you boot.
you can control it with the command df -h

the web interface always works the same way:

ip:5000

or even (if from the same pc) localhost:5000

Hi @antonellocaroli,

I instaled GP on a x86-64 machine, and everything is Ok. It is on the wired network (yes, I can connect using ip:5000)  and Roon Server is running. This will be a Roon Server only machine.

The problem is that Roon Core is not Showing up in Roon.

Also I could not update for the latest Roon Server  version:

* Fetch failed for 'media-sound/RoonServer-1.7.555', Log file:

* '/var/tmp/portage/media-sound/RoonServer-1.7.555/temp/build.log

Any help is Welcome

Thanks

roonbridge and roonserver are the only two apps that update themselves, the moment you open the app it asks you.

why should you see roon core?

in roonserver you have to chip only the audio output, if you are on a single pc and enable only roonserver

Hi @antonellocaroli,

I use Roon for years. I have another roon server I use right now. (lets call it Actual-Roon Server)

I disconected from Actual-Roon Server, and now I should have seen both servers, Actual-Roon and Gentooplayer (each one in a diferente machine and diferent Ip , of course)

But I see the Actual-Roon server only.

I have to connect to GP Roon Server to use it! But I do not see it in Roon Core selection page!

Any help is welcome!

Even for a roon core you have to enable in the settings....

you take a tablet and/or a phone and you do it through a roon app...

I continue to use Gentooplayer on the USBridge Sig and have been happy with it. Today, I tried to go into the GUI, which loads but I see various "Failed to load script info". I have tried a hard restart but its not come back. Any idea if I can rectify without re-installing?

Out of curiosity, there is no way to integrate a VST plugin ?? I don't even know if this is possible or already done on an rpi ?
A small idea behind the head .. or a search for a solution for this:
https://www.homeaudiofidelity.com/english/plugins/

I can tell you, that using beuteFIR works really good! (Even on a raspberry Pi4)

I stream music (from Tidal) via BubbleUPnP to the MPD then through BruteFIR to a i2s connected DAC. All on one little device.

Maybe it was a little more work to install BruteFIR, but compared to Volumio, this is a big step Up! This GentoPlayer is one fine, stable working server/player. It is fast and stable, and sounds great. That’s what we want, no?

Special thanks to AntonelloCaroli !
