I have an idea.

At at the end of the night, I want to shutdown the gp, so I need two actions, update RamSave so my roon library remembers what I’ve been listening too. Then also shutdown the gp.

it would be cool if I could save a bookmark on my phone screen, that operates like a HTTP get, and when the end point is hit, both actions take place.

i like to fall asleep when I listen to music, so a super easy way to achieve the goal would be great, as I want to shut it all down but stay as sleepy as possible so I can actually go to sleep lol.

For bonus points, it would chain the call to shutdown to the end point.

what do you think @antonellocaroli

squeezelite tow and throw it from the terminal like this:

squeezelite -C 1 -W -o hw:CARD=sndrpihifiberry,DEV=0 -r 44100-192000 -a 65536:4::1 -b 125000:125000 -R v::4:28:95:105:45  -n GentooPlayer  -m 00:e0:4s:78:d1:47 -d all=debug

and see if it says anything useful when you play a radio.

it is no easier to move the roon database, so it is not loaded in ram and give a nice command in the shell type

shutdown -h 00:30 or in a startup script

I just tried with debug and it's the same, mp3 doesn't work.

Are there any recommended settings for the ALSA Buffer Time and Input and Output Stream Buffers for G2P running in Ramboot mode on a RaspBerry Pi 3B+ or similar platform, or should they just be left to the defaults?

Thanks

It's okay, I really thank you for your time, I had made a donation of 20 € some time ago.
You're in Italy ?, I'm in Cassis near Marseille.
Yours sincerely, protect yourself.
Rodolphe

I'm a real dumbass, the problem of mp3 playback with Roon comes from the lack of codecs that disappeared with the Roon update.
Update that coincided with the use of Gentoo.
It's thanks to Antonello who took time to find the solution and I thank him very much for his kindness and the time spent.
I'm going to stay with Gentooplayer because it sounds better than the rest and its designer is very available to manage problems.
