Thanks Antonello. Any change log ?

in general:

1) Changed paths to the scripts, then gp-update on old images no longer works, or rather it works but does not update anything ...
2) created an ebuild for BubbleUpnp, now it can be updated via emerge (emerge --ask bubbleupnp-bin), always after gp-update.
3) some fixes on ramdisk

4) other changes..

X64

in general, also updated the system ..
x64 systemd

solved the problem of internet connection ...

Hi Antonello.

I have a Chord Hugo2 , which I have borrow for some time. Just to check it out again my Chord 2Qute.

What is the difference in these squeezelite settings both works fine for me ??

in SL_OPTS in squeezelite-R2

1) -o default:CARD=Hugo2

2) -o hw:CARD=Hugo2,DEV=0

Thanks

you must also check the other parameters -a ....

I have some software on top of your player where i log some linux stuff in /proc/stat.

As you can see on the graph, the was a huge drop in performance where I tried the Default:CARD

instead of the Hw:CARD in the settings.

I have before tried a lot of things with the -a parameter, it gives me some difference but the Hw:CARD

it absolutely a must have, never never Default:CARD.

hi Filippo,

Just installed the 1.3 BIOS/systemd version of GP64. Went like a breeze 🙂

I see that under ramsystem you added more ways to make the RamDisk. You also added (L) behind some.

Can you please explain? How do we choose?

Tonight I will do some listening...

Thanks!

Hi Dennis,

(L) they should require less ram...

Very basic question.

Can i install Gentoo on a usb thumb drive and boot from it without affecting the osx of my mac mini (mesning i can reboot in mac osx or the windows partition when needed)?

i do this with both Daphile and Volumio without any issues.

thanks

if in case it works to restart osx or win just remove the usb ...

I have been listening for a few days and I am really enjoying the sound with Audirvana on a Windows machine into mpd (via upmpdcli) on GentooPlayer64. There is one problem, which may not be GP- but Audirvana related, so I posted it here:

Just in case anyone here has a suggestion...

Ciao Dennis,

do not you have another linux system with mpd and upmpdcli to use instead of GP and see if you have the same problem?

Ciao Filippo,

I had the exact same problem when I was running mpd and upmpdcli under ArchLinux.

It looks like a problem with the Audirvana/DSD256/mpd/upmpdcli combination.

With HQPlayer/DSD256/NAA (networkd) it is going well,
