We shooting for sooner. The sample boards arrived yesterday and are playing music:) The production order could go out as soon as Monday depending on some more testing.

Some updates

 

The opticalRendu is back in production after a short delay to make a change in the board design.

 

This going to be the official power specifications and recommendations:

• Power input: 2A peak current and 1.5A continuous current at 6-9 VDC output
• Uptone Audio UltraCap LPS-1/LPS-1.2 power supplies - for use with USB devices that do not use USB bus power.

Do the upgraded optical Signature Rendu SE's need the same board design change?

No. This change was done to accommodate the usage of the LPS PS series and reduce heat in the smaller enclosure.

In trying to order both opticalRendu and opticalModule without power supply, I get a message that the opticalModule without power supply is unavailable.  When will this be available?

When we open up sales on the opticalModules this week you will be able to purchase one from the opticalRendu webpage without shipping fees imposed. Any cheaters will have their purchase refunded.
