I didn't know it back then (I could hear the bird but I couldn't see it) but the bird which had directly inspired this thread was a nightingale. This is what it sounds like. It's an everyday guest, just like feral rose-ringed parakeets (not mentioning ducks from a nearby canal, pigeons, seagulls etc). Storks come only from time time.. I used to say that only a flock of toucans would surprise me now. I was wrong. A couple of days ago in one of the city canals I saw an exotic turtle Iving 1 Link to comment

sphinxsix
Of course the most famous Zappa bird is still the chicken used by The Mothers to measure it.. Zappa's chicken tribute band. The Rubber Chicken Standard (as proposed by Professor Doctor Person) One Rubber Chicken (rc): For larger objects, we need a bigger Rubber Chicken. This is where the Kilo-Chicken (kc) comes in. It’s the size of 1,000 Rubber Chickens: Similarly, smaller objects would need a tiny Rubber Chicken. For this, we have the Micro-Chicken (uc): More information and converter: Chicken Measuring christopher3393 1 Link to comment

sphinxsix
Think they liked alcohol 'If the sea was whiskey and I was a diving duck I'd dive to the bottom, don't know when I'd come up..' And at the same time were aware of possible complications.. Love this song. In general animal music is just great! christopher3393 1 Link to comment
