Logical would be a good word to use. Unlike some who want to be smartarses, I see good value in what's here: in the real world amplifiers are helped a great deal by having loads which are better behaved; and crossover parts which only have to handle low currents will intrinsically perform better.

 

Active speakers win because they're a smarter way of getting the speaker drivers to do the work - but fail because they remove the "fiddling" aspect of having a rig ... :).
