Taz777
I'm about to sign up to TIDAL HiFi. In terms of using TIDAL HiFi with a computer-based audio system, is the audio quality good enough? I keep reading stories of TIDAL going under (even from 2017!) and how MQA isn't all it's cracked up to be. At the end of the day, if the music sounds at least as good as, or better than, CD-quality, and is recorded well enough, then does any of this really matter? Link to comment
Taz777
Thank you @left channel for the feedback on TIDAL. The financial risk is low - just 19.99GBP maximum risk if TIDAL goes under. It's good to know that the audio quality is good. Link to comment
Taz777
I looked at soundiiz.com and it transfers playlists between audio streaming services only, from what I can gather. My current music library is entirely local under iTunes and I couldn’t find a way to check what is available in TIDAL. Hence, I started to search for random songs that are in my iTunes library, one by one in TIDAL and after several searches TIDAL was sending me to a 404 page (page not found). I haven’t signed up yet and I’m wondering whether TIDAL effectively stops you from searching its music catalogue after a few searches if you’re not a member? Or perhaps this was a bug? I was trying to see how many of my existing songs were available in TIDAL. Link to comment
