Kispschorn speakers in LA Time story about music bars

Recommended Posts

Thanks for posting that.  Interesting idea that I hope takes off.

I knew of a disco club in the late 1970's that had 4 K-horns mounted in the roof above the colored lights around the dance floor.  All driven by a NAD 3020.  It could get loud.

The shame of course was all they played was that awful disco music.  I hated it.

And always keep in mind: Cognitive biases, like seeing optical illusions are a sign of a normally functioning brain. We all have them, it’s nothing to be ashamed about, but it is something that affects our objective evaluation of reality.

Here's a list of In Sheep's Clothing's whole audio system. https://www.insheepsclothinghifi.com/

I don't ever expect to get there but I'd love to.

Main System: QNAP TS-451+ NAS > Silent Angel Bonn N8 > Sonore opticalModule Deluxe v2 > Corning SMF with Finisar FTLF1318P3BTL SFPs > Uptone EtherREGEN > exaSound PlayPoint and e32 Mk-II DAC > Meitner MTR-101 Plus monoblocks > Bamberg S5-MTM sealed standmount speakers.

Crown XLi 1500 powering  AV123 Rocket UFW10 stereo subwoofers

Upgraded power on all switches, renderer and DAC.

Quote from the article:
"When the sound is good, it is all you need. It can be as captivating as watching a movie."

This resonates so true, I wish I had thought of it.  Music WAS the entertainment for me and select compadres back in the days before MTV.  Now it seems impossible to find any new friends who are music-oriented anywhere near the same way.

I remember bumper stickers in 1979-1980: "Disco is dead. Long live rock 'n' roll!"

Great quote from Carl Sagan, by the way.  It is timeless, but it has never been more apropos than it is now unfortunately.
