3 Popular Post The Computer Audiophile
The Q&A section enables the best answers to rise to the top and for the single best answer to be selected by the OP. This enables people searching for the answer to quickly find what they need rather than scrolling through pages of potential answers and off topic banter. This format has been used for many years on sites such as Stack Overflow. semente, fas42, wgscott and 2 others 3 1 1 Founder of Audiophile Style | My Audio Systems Link to comment
1 buonassi
If you don't like this section of the site, don't use it and don't participate in it. Bring your question up on one of the other many threads that caters to witty banter instead of substantive information. For me, and others I presume, I think this section is a great way to get quick and knowledgeable answers. tmtomh 1 Link to comment

This is by far the dumbest, most infantile misunderstanding people have of what internet discussion - and any non-governmental forum for discussion, in fact - is about. Structuring the discussion, setting up different areas for different types of topics, and setting ground rules for the dialogue - these not only are not censorship on a privately owned, moderated forums, but they're also essential for any meaningful discussion to take place at all. People call this kind of moderation "censorship" when it doesn't suit them - but they don't mind it when it makes the forum navigable, pleasant, and attractive enough for them to join in the first place. sandyk and buonassi 1 1 Link to comment

I'm trying to find ways that this could have been stated any more perfectly. And I can't. Superb reply. tmtomh and Don Blas De Lezo 1 1 Link to comment
0 New2PCaudio
Gee !!!! I wasn't expecting to be put "On the Spot" so soon ! Being a Forum participant on a few other Forums I've come to realize that the number of postings someone has made doesn't always translate to well reasoned , useful , non hostile content. (One of these, I try to avoid completely; How much of the other 2 I see normally determines how long I'll follow a thread) Now, what Question was I suppose to answering ????? Link to comment

Off topic banter such as cars, food, wine, politics etc. are possibly best pruned out in the specific threads as part of a general tidying up process, but you are only one man. That is where a few trusted moderators could be of benefit ? skikirkwood, tmtomh, buonassi and 1 other 1 3 How a Digital Audio file sounds, or a Digital Video file looks, is governed to a large extent by the Power Supply area. All that Identical Checksums gives is the possibility of REGENERATING the file to close to that of the original file. PROFILE UPDATED 13-11-2020 Link to comment
