The title of this thread is annoying.  It suggests that much of the research to garner any actual knowledge about this lossy format was somehow only one side of a complete story. That is absolute crap.  There is no middle ground.  There are lies and marking BS and a reality this is continually ignored or side-stepped in an effort to promote a proprietary format that could potentially and critically have a negative impact on consumer interests.

Chris should might be able to accommodate setting up a livestream if he has time.  He did so at a previous trade show discussion panel on MQA lead by a proponent of the format.  One could ask very sweetly and hope for the desired outcome of a perspective showing the audience.  

 

A steadicam for when the entralled masses carry him around on their shoulders would be too much to ask of him though.  Let's keep the requests reasonable.

I also don't see much "middle" in MQA.  Even the streaming case for it is now a non-starter given modern bandwidth, etc.  Given that just about ALL claims of MQA have been demonstratively debunked, where is this "middle"?

 

I appreciate the "pros vs. cons" perspective, but the "extreme" language is just the narrative that the trade publications/industry wants to leverage in an attempt to make MQA have some sense at all.

 

Oh well, it would not be Audiophiledom if the truth was explicit...

Personally I would have preferred the original topic at 3:00 PM Sunday but I'm flying Southwest so I can bring a lot of data and information to RMAF.
