Rational solution to computer source whilst listening on the couch

Hi guys.

 

Lemme just explain what I would like and see what solutions are suggested.

 

Let's assume the computer below is a windows laptop.

 

I'd like to be able to:

- sit on my couch whilst listening to my two channel system

- plays FLACs stored on the laptop

- control playlist from the couch

- use my laptop on the couch

 

What configurations would give me good sonic bang-for-the-buck? Let's assume the budget for the DAC side of things is like $1-1.5k ish to set expectations.

 

What would be fuss-free, maybe even cut down on the cables needed, and still fit these requirements?
