Audirvana for Mac: Direct USB vs. Streaming

Has someone compared SQ of direct USB output from MBP/Audirvana to DAC vs. streaming to a device like Ultrarendu or USBridge with the same DAC and same USB cable ?

Yes.  A good Ethernet Renderer like a Rendu easily sounds way better than direct USB connection of a (for example) MacBook Pro to a DAC.  This performance advantage will depend on the performance of the Renderer though, not all Renderers are created equal!

It depends on the quality of the USB implementation in the DAC.

how can I be sure that a certain USB-DAC which works with a MBP works with an Ultrarendu as well ?
