Paul R
The sound changed, for the better, with Amarra and Pure Music as well, so I doubt that DSP is the guilty party, though I suppose it might be. I'll run a loop tonight if nobody else does it first. -Paul Anyone who considers protocol unimportant has never dealt with a cat DAC. Robert A. Heinlein Link to comment
goldsdad
Duhhh, I just realised that's not going to test USB output. It may be worth doing in any case for those using optical out. How about someone with a MF V-Link and Mini-TOSLink cable doing a loopback check for bitperfect USB output. Link to comment
Blu
I know this in not on topic, but I like to use Stephen's 'Max' program for ripping to my Mac mini. I haven't upgraded to 'Lion' yet, but was wondering if anyone has upgraded to 'Lion' and tried to use 'Max', the 0.9.2 version that works in 'Snow Leopard'. This would be the holdout from upgrading to 'Lion' for me as I think 'Max' rips sound better than a few other programs I've tried. I have given a donation for it's use, but it would be good if Stephen could update 'Max' and charge for it. Enjoy the music, Blu. P.S. it would be a good idea to change the name of this thread to 'Decibel' to reflect the name change of the program, as some newer members may not have heard of 'Ayrewave'? http://www.computeraudiophile.com/members/Blu Link to comment
