musedesign
I bought the Nuforce uDAC-2 and love it! Can I use the uDAC-2 directly with my ipod? Any suggestions on cables? Checked out the Nuforce website and it appears the Nuforce Adapter will do what I am describing ? Am I mistaken? I would think the quality would be better using USB. http://www.nuforce.com/hp/products/adapter/index.php Thanks, Mark Link to comment
bixby
From the description on the nuforce site this is a line level out adapter like all the others that are out there to connect via the dock pinouts to an amp let's say. The twist is it seems the USB port on the adpater can be used to power the ipod or recharge it while using the adapter to get the line out signal to another device. I do not believe you can use your udac-2 as a dac with the ipod and this adapter. Only device I know of that makes a digital out available for your ipod is the wadia dock. So to answer your main question, no you cannot use your udac with your ipod in this fashion. Link to comment
