Allo Digione Signature

Recommended Posts

I just purchase the Digione Signature (not the complete player setup) without any add-ons, and am trying to get all of my power cables and supplies in order. Could you confirm what will be included with this base purchase? Specifically, curious if there is a "DC-TO-TYPE-C USB ADAPTER CABLE" included in the box and if one basic 5V SMPS is included. After placing my order, I realize I need two of the adapters. I'm not sure if I need to purchase more of them, and what the best way to include them with my existing order is. Happy to take this to PM if it's easier to continue the discussion. Thanks in advance for the help!

In other news, I just purchased an Uptone UltraCap LPS-1.2 and am really curious to see how this setup improves my existing Digione w/ 5v iFi iPower (which I now understand wasn't offering any sort of power benefit to begin with).

I am not sure that you can use the LPS-1.2 to power the Digione but it might work. I use the LPS-1.2 to power the clean side of a DigiOne Signature, a grounded ifi 5v/2.5A powers the dirty side.

I see how my post was unclear: I purchased the LPS-1.2 to go with the Digione Signature that's incoming to power the clean side, and plan on repurposing the iFi iPower to power the dirty side since I'll have no other need for it. Same setup as yours!

Got my unit today. Just wanted to comment that I thought the packaging was perfectly fine. Lots of sturdy cardboard and foam inserts for the sensitive pieces, and even the case was wrapped up fine for transport across the world. Not sure why there are any complaints here.

I appreciate the total number of adapters in the box. @allo.comI do think it would be very helpful to just show one photo on the product listing page or make it clear in the description what all is included when ordering a unit, seems like I'm not the only person that has experienced considerable confusion when trying to coordinate what all they need with a purchase of just the Signature unit with no add-ons other than a case.

Got the case unwrapped, everything put together, and powered up in less than 30 minutes - very intuitive and straightforward without any instructions. I've got the clean side powered with a new Uptone LPS-1.2 and the dirty side powered with my repurposed iFi iPower left over from my original Digione. Didn't need to purchase any extra pieces or converters (everything needed was already in the Digione Signature box). Looking forward to letting everything run constantly for a week or so before really settling in with it.

Do you know if there is a way to bump up power to WiFi? This problem didn't exist on the RPi 3B+ with my original Digione unit, I'm wondering if powering through the "dirty" board is causing this issue?

@maha0098, all: I understand that you power the clean side of the DigiOne Signature with a LPS-1.2. Are you powering it with 5V, 7V or 9V? Does the voltage affect the sound quality? Is it better to power the clean side with 5V or with higher voltages?

I haven't tried anything other than 5v on the LPS-1.2 yet. Both the LPS-1.2 and the Digione Signature have been running for less than 24 hours, I won't start playing around with any of the variables until another week has gone by. Just trying to run music through it 24/7 for now.

All: Do let us know what changes you notice if you bump up to 7v though!
