mtcs
Hi, all. I recently got a Lush^2 and it sounded fantastic the few times I'v e gotten it to work. It seems to have a hard time completing the USB handshake. My system is UltraRendu =>Lush^2=>Iso Regen=>AURALiC Vega. My Nordost USB cable works consistently but not the Lush^2. I was wondering if any has successfully used the Lush^2 from a UR to a Vega and, if so, what configuration you are using? Thanks. Link to comment

The Silanna galvanic isolator chip at the input of the ISO REGEN is not always tolerant of out-of-spec USB cables at its input. The ISO REGEN’s output is happy to drive any cable though. I use and greatly enjoy the Lush^2 in my system. And it is about the only cable that I prefer over our own USPCB A>B Adapter as the connection to the DAC after the ISO REGEN. So I suggest you turn the USPCB around, using it to position the ISO REGEN at the output of you ultraRendu—and then run from the ISO REGEN to your Vega DAC with the Lush^2. I bet it will work and sound great for you! Worked like a charm. Alex, you're brilliant! I'm listening to Till Bronner/Nightfall and it never sounded this good before. Now can't wait for an etheregen. Superdad 1 Link to comment

It was fun to experiment with various configurations and to share those with others. The thread ended in a great place, and I am delighted with the results. From my limited experience, I can say this is the best USB cable I have owned, also the most social, even it is a bit of a chameleon. Larry, After lots of experience with Lush^2, which configuration are you using? Thanks. Mark Link to comment

I then added another layer of shielding and connected that to the others at both ends. It sounds great. Thanks, I always appreciate your experiences. Link to comment

Thanks Adding a shield is a future project but I can share what I've done so far. After many experiments,I decided that the shipped configuration was the best all around. But then, I added an etherRegen to my chain and the bass became overwhelming - loud and flabby. So, I switched to TANF and the bass improved. Later, I upgraded the power supply on the etherregen to a JS-2 and retried the shipped configuration. It was much better than originally and better than TANF before and after the ehterRegen. I'll stick with the shipped config for now: it has good soundstage, plenty of air around the instruments, tight bass soft highs. It could use more "weight" but that could be other issues in my system lwr 1 Link to comment
