Until later in the year when hopefully these 3 things improve: 1. Qobuz US catalogue is brought up to speed, to at least match Tidal US... 2. Playlist 1000 track limit is removed... 3. A 'For You' section to notify of new releases for favourited artists... These 3 things are unfortunately major showstoppers for me on Day 1 of my trial, but I'm sure by end of the year these 3 things (at least first 2) will be improved. This is not a complaint - please just consider it as polite feedback. Thanks for this feedback, I understand. 1. must be ok 2. not sur but I'll try. This one is essentially a technical problem. 3. Will be available with "My Qobuz" project Regards Peter Hyatt and asdf1000 1 1 Qobuz Product Manager for Desktop, Web Player and Search Engine. Link to comment

If an application is detected, the opening will be done in it. This works more or less well, as application detection is not obvious. If the detection does not work properly you can press the "Read on Qobuz" link. At that time the url will be a url specific to Qobuz applications. When installing an application, it will indicate to the operating systems that it is able to manage this type of url. David, I actually think Qobuz would be very smart to develop a social sharing network around their platform. I know stuff like ITunes Ping flopped monumentally, but I’d assume the typical Qobuz subscriber cares much more about music than the average ITunes customer. Has Qobuz considered something like this? Power user curated playlists and recommedations could only be the start of something much bigger. Done well this would also be a good feature to increase switching cost to other streaming services. Mike48
Something I would like very much . . . the ability to make folders of favorite albums. If the idea is that a streaming service is to replace, to some degree, one's own library, there is a definite need to be able to add some organization to albums one would like to listen to again. I imagine that after using Qobuz for years I will have hundreds, if not thousands of them. Mark Dirac 1 Link to comment

I imagine that after using Qobuz for years I will have hundreds, if not thousands of them. I brought this idea up a while back both here and on Roon Community. In the stand-alone Qobuz app your Playlists can basically do what you are talking about. Just add your favorites to a playlist. You can have any number of playlists and have them organized by topic i.e. Piano, World, Jazz, Bach etc. The playlists can be viewed in Album View in the standalone Qobuz app. The issue for me is that I use Qobuz mainly via Roon because that gives me remote control. The Roon interface is a bit lacking. If you create a playlist the only view you get if a long list of tracks. If you have a long playlist, either Roon or Qobuz(they are separate), then it is cumbersome to pick out a specific album, especially if you forgot the name, without a lot of scrolling. Roon needs to offer Album View for their playlists. That could not be too hard to do. I made this suggestion on Roon Community many months ago but got no official reply post. Perhaps Qobuz could lobby Roon for this? "Don't Believe Everything You Think" System Link to comment

That's an interesting point. My view is that playlists can help categorize albums, but they do it in a very peculiar and unsatisfactory way. The reason is, the tracks on the album -- not the album itself -- gets put onto the playlist. That makes searching even more awkward than ever. I am thinking, for example, of what happens when you add an opera to a playlist -- hundreds of tracks are added. Or a couple of versions of the Goldberg variations -- 64 tracks. So playlists are not helpful when you want to put a label onto a group of albums. What I concluded is, an album is a different creature from a track, and Qobuz needs a way for users to categorize favorite ALBUMS in groups. Mark Dirac and mourip 1 1 Link to comment
asdf1000
Hi @David Craff I have the latest version of Qobuz desktop for macOS (5.0.3 -b16) But there is no 'exclusive mode' option that i can see , like the Tidal desktop app has... this is to ensure bit perfect playback of course. Is 'exclusive mode' coming to the desktop app? Link to comment
asdf1000
Hi @David Craff Some feedback. I am looking for a new r&b album (by JAMESDAVIS) released today. But when I go to 'all new releases' for the r&b section, it's not there. So it's more like 'selected' new releases instead of 'all' new releases. Is it possible to actually add all new releases, to the 'all new releases' section for the genre? Don Blas De Lezo 1 Link to comment
Popular Post davidovada
Em2016..I was just about to write the same thing. I now go to the Qobuz website to look for new releases. It always shows a few more than the app. However, it's still not complete. Many great new recordings are buried. It can't be region restricted because when I search for a specific title it opens...like the digital equivalent to searching the bins on the floor for vinyl. Rodster
Regarding new Classical releases in the US on the Qobuz Windows App: Has anyone noticed that with some new releases, particulary on Naxos, one or two of the tracks is greyed out and unplayable at any resolution? For example, Herbert Howells, Chamber Music, released on April 11, 2019, track 9 is greyed out; Havergal Brian, Symphonies Nos. 7 and 16, released on May 9, 2019, tracks 4 and 6 are greyed out. Is this limited to certain labels who don't want people to be able to hear the whole recording, and therefore encourage them to buy it instead? Or is something else going on? I hope Qobuz can provide some insight into this. Link to comment

It's not possible to display all releases and get a clean discover page. This is a selection. Discover page is more Showcase page for new release. To get all new release is better to use the search engine like that : JAMESDAVIS #newrelease We are working on a way to browse the catalogue by genre. My request is seeing all new releases for genre itself, so (for example) I could see all new r&b releases. Since the new album by JAMESDAVIS wasn't added to the r&b section of new releases (for example). I understand your comment about getting a clean page. Of course I wouldn't need all new releases in r&b on a single page... even if it just showed the latest 50 releases for each genre, that would be better than current, because new releases are currently missed (as per JAMESDAVIS example)... And just have a 'rolling' list of 50 or 100, that is updated each week? Just feedback/feature request. davidovada and Musicophile 2 Link to comment

goon525
There are differences. In particular, the US is behind Europe. This is mainly about licensing issues. Link to comment
