Since I am a good citizen I called the webmaster and left him a message that there was a problem with ToneAudio's RSS feed. I will give him specifics when he returns my call.  If he can't fix the problem I will be happy to fix it when I'm in Beaverton Oregon later this week and next week.

Jud it is no conspiracy. Chris has been and will be attacked openly from parts of the industry and the audio press. I've seen it at shows personally. 

 

I tried yesterday. I left a message for the webmaster and talked to Jeff before lunch. Full RSS feed is not a mistake. If Jeff pursues this it will cost some money to get a law firm to write a letter to Chris. And it is an interesting question of whether Computer Audiophile is a public aggregator  or not.

If people don't like what you posted and you continue on a undesirable line posting after gentle hints you get a sheep picture. Continue after that and you get a lot sheep pictures.

 

Yes if you have say a 20 handicap I'm not interest in your opinion about golf.

How they thought this was a good idea is bizzare, instead of choosing win-win, as Chris said.

 

That seems to be how high end audio works at least in the United States. Do what you have to to drive traffic away from your site. With a little work I think Tone Audio can get themselves back under 100,000 views a month. As for Tristan I will take a better picture of Multnomah Falls than he did just because I can next week.

I don't think HiFi really wants to expand the audience at the press level anyway. When HiFi was everywhere in the United States (the 70's) the press had little power and audiophiles were a minority of people who liked good sound from their equipment. I really wonder if the old guard wants an expanded market where it would have to adapt to a larger audience.
