Perhaps the other guy doesn't know how to set his site, or set it incorrectly by accident. It's clear he does not intend for the full content to be published. With that, it's clear what I would do to do the right thing. If I wanted to be a good citizen, I'd fix it on my site, or just delete it. Since I am a good citizen I called the webmaster and left him a message that there was a problem with ToneAudio's RSS feed. I will give him specifics when he returns my call. If he can't fix the problem I will be happy to fix it when I'm in Beaverton Oregon later this week and next week. Jud and Les Habitants 2 Link to comment

I'd prefer it go away but leaving a message for the web guy and talking with Jeff didn't help so there's not much else I can do. Link to comment

Whining about vendors seems to be the national sport of high end audio at least in America. And don't make promises you can't keep. Link to comment

Real simple 1. find out the address of main office or owner's home 2. Call these people...yes a big chunk of protesters you see on TV are hired https://crowdsondemand.com/ 3. Pick a date...get permits 4. Print signs that maybe read (or something similar) "stop being mean to me" ... "my feelings got hurt"...."you are going down you big, mean, bully" 5. publish the protest all over the internet LOL..I love this...so silly..... There are too many protests in Portland everyday for this to work. Jud 1 Link to comment

With these continued ludicrous attacks, one has to wonder. Jud it is no conspiracy. Chris has been and will be attacked openly from parts of the industry and the audio press. I've seen it at shows personally. I tried yesterday. I left a message for the webmaster and talked to Jeff before lunch. Full RSS feed is not a mistake. If Jeff pursues this it will cost some money to get a law firm to write a letter to Chris. And it is an interesting question of whether Computer Audiophile is a public aggregator or not. Nope but getting ready for a golf tournament reminded me how much more effective the golf communities are about policing their sites. As I told someone a while ago. And the shoot reference - do you mean handicap ? Regards, Shadders. If people don't like what you posted and you continue on a undesirable line posting after gentle hints you get a sheep picture. Continue after that and you get a lot sheep pictures. Yes if you have say a 20 handicap I'm not interest in your opinion about golf. mav52 1 Link to comment

How they thought this was a good idea is bizzare, instead of choosing win-win, as Chris said. That seems to be how high end audio works at least in the United States. Do what you have to to drive traffic away from your site. With a little work I think Tone Audio can get themselves back under 100,000 views a month. As for Tristan I will take a better picture of Multnomah Falls than he did just because I can next week. AudioDoctor and asdf1000 1 1 Link to comment

A bit embarrassing to have hanging around (If I were the op) if one abides by TA's wishes anyway. For the health of the industry it is not a good idea to listen to Jeff. Keep the picture of sheep. I really wish HiFi could embrace technology to expand its audience. I don't think HiFi really wants to expand the audience at the press level anyway. When HiFi was everywhere in the United States (the 70's) the press had little power and audiophiles were a minority of people who liked good sound from their equipment. I really wonder if the old guard wants an expanded market where it would have to adapt to a larger audience. The Computer Audiophile and MikeyFresh 1 1 Link to comment
