Ready to Rip!! Need Help with Ripping in Flac

OK, I am a newbie,

 

I am ready to burn all my cd's and I want to do it correctly the first time. I was thinking about using J River Media to Rip all 6oo cd's, but what is the difference between the the default "6" quality rip and the "8"? Would I notice a difference?

Or,

Should I use Exact Audio Copy to Rip all my music? I only want to do it once.

 

Any info if greatly appreciated.
