Matt00
OK, I am a newbie, I am ready to burn all my cd's and I want to do it correctly the first time. I was thinking about using J River Media to Rip all 6oo cd's, but what is the difference between the the default "6" quality rip and the "8"? Would I notice a difference? Or, Should I use Exact Audio Copy to Rip all my music? I only want to do it once. Any info if greatly appreciated. Thanks, Matt Link to comment
Audio_ELF
Matt - Take a look at Chris' article on CD ripping ... http://www.computeraudiophile.com/content/Computer-Audiophile-CD-Ripping-Strategy-and-Methodology ... don't take it as a bible but read through it for his (personal) ideal strategy and decide which bits you want to follow. Eloise Eloise --- ...in my opinion / experience... While I agree "Everything may matter" working out what actually affects the sound is a trickier thing. And I agree "Trust your ears" but equally don't allow them to fool you - trust them with a bit of skepticism. keep your mind open... But mind your brain doesn't fall out. Link to comment
