matthias
Can someone confirm or deny whether BOTH Audirvana for Windows AND Audirvana for Mac will get the Leedh Processing? Thanks Matt "I want to know why the musicians are on stage, not where". (John Farlowe) Link to comment
Qhwoeprktiyns
I understand both will, but I don't think it is clear what will be available immediately. I don't think anyone (aside for D. Plisson who is a member of CA) can give a definitive answer at this point. You just have to wait and see... Link to comment

One and a half
Working with an ASIO interface would be a walk in the park compared to MacOS core Audio workarounds. There's an SQ benefit right away. Matt Ah - Because in the past for A+ on Mac, there have tended to be multiple threads on the same topic, and people complained they sometimes had to search all these multiple threads to find what they wanted. So it was done by request in order for forum members to know the one thread to go to. We are thinking A+ on Windows will be sufficiently different to merit its own thread. Jud, like you I do not want multiple threads on the same topic. Now we have a thread "Audirvana for Windows" created by @bhobba. Do you really want to go for multiple threads with creating an additional "official thread" on the SAME topic? Is it the official wish to post in the "official thread" only? Why is @bhobbas thread not good enough for this topic? I hope you understand my point. Matt look&listen and blue2 2 "I want to know why the musicians are on stage, not where". mevdinc
This is a repost from the unofficial thread. Hope it catches @damien78's attention better -- Can't wait to try this out via A+ soon as I have not been using a Preamp for a long time, just relying on the preamp section of my DACs. There are also some great DACs without volume control, so Leedh digital volume will give the digital only systems more options to choose from when hunting for better DACs.@damien78, would you be kind enough to confirm if Leedh Processing will be included in both Mac and Win versions of A+? Jud
The answer of course is always "When it's ready," and the prediction business, even by Damien himself, is a hazardous one! Chris I'd suggest closing this before we have a muddle of partial info on each and make the @bhobba thread the 'official' one - is that possible? 🎸🎶🏔️🐺 Link to comment
Popular Post damien78
Dear all, Thank you for your patience and for your understanding for the delay. Developping Audirvana Plus for Windows has been almost rewriting all of Audirvana Plus software from scratch. As you know the issue with software development is that the issues, and amount of real work to do is nearly always discovered only when being on it. And as I'm quite a perfectionnist, I wanted to have a beta at a real beta level to offer you for testing, that is with already some good testing already done. A few days ago, I issued a very first private beta version, and unfortunately, some testers had a crash due to specific Asio drivers. I've then decided to postpone the launch of the public beta version so I could reproduce this issue which is now fixed. And now is the time, after demos at two shows (Munich & Paris), and limited private beta, to open the beta testing to more. You, dear members of the CA Community, are the first I announce you can participate in the beta program by going to Audirvana forum I'm opening the beta test slowly so to be able to work in timely manner on the early feedbacks. So to make this opening on a slower pace, you'll have to register on the forum to access the Windows beta section, and get the download link and all the instructions. One of them being to help me testing playback with a wide range of ASIO drivers. In a few days, I'll announce it to a wider audience. Happy testing! And thanks a lot for your feedbacks! One and a half
Screen shots, navigation and short SQ review of Audirvana + for Windows at Phile Web Couple of worthy notes: It is noteworthy that the first Windows version has realized the same sound quality as the conventional Mac version. First, compare it with "Windows JRiver Media Center 24", one of Windows's standard playback software. I played track 3 "LOVE" from Diana Krall "Turn Up the Quiet" (192 kHz / 24 bit FLAC). For tone balance, Audirvana Plus faithful to the original sound, JRiver tends to rise high and low. Especially the facial expression of the snare drum is very different, JRiver feels a bit flashy texture. Both upper and lower f ranges are comparable, but Audirvana Plus outperforms the depth of the sound stage and the reality of vocals.
