GUTB
Spotted a fabulous-looking and sounding headphone amp at AXPONA - the Headonia 2A3 which, as the name suggests, is running a pair of SET 2a3s. Variable resistance knob for each output. Very attractive leather banding with real wood (not veneer) covers. Massive, real transformers. Sound through the show Kennerton open backs (don’t know the model) was silky, spacious, rich and resolving. One of the finer SET headphones amps I’ve tried. If I was looking for headphone system upgrades this unit would be high on the list. MRSP is a heaft but not ruinous 8000 Euros. Currently the manufacture, Auris, doesn’t have a North American dealer but they can be imported. Aside from the Headonia, they also offer a very attractive and high performance floor standers and huge KT120-based integrated, both also for 8000 Euros. The sales rep of course suggests a deal can worked out, but that’s too much scratch for me just to throw down. buonassi 1 Link to comment
buonassi
Their ha2se has been around a while now and is considered TOTL by many. It is more affordable and shares a similar asthetic: http://aurisaudio.rs/en/products/headphone-amplifiers/ha2-se good post GUTB Link to comment
Norton
They really should consider renaming their speaker range though... buonassi 1 Link to comment
