There are headphones on the market which sound great enough to just listen to them for a loooong time. We're not saying that headphones are any better than regular stereo setups but rather find both equally useful and enjoyable.

One person, the very same for some three years or so. At the office we have full AMR stack (two pairs of AMR LS-77 monitors) so that's constantly on and when I'm at home, I use Pro iDSD with Final D8000 planars or Hifimans HE1000v2 if either of these is available. We use them at various shows. That's pretty much it. Oh and at the office we have heavily modded vintage Garrard 301 which I adore.

We never said no to mods to begin with. If one has skills and knows what he/she's doing, then by all means mod away.

 

In some of our items we enable this via tube rolling or usage of external clocks.

We'd say both headphones and speakers can provide a lot of joy. Cans won't deliver what 18' woofers with paper membranes on some dipoles are able to, but still some TOTL headphones are very impressive.
