Popular Post jeroennn
The past few months I've been reading welcome updates on the SR4/SR7 from quite a few of you. Now I can give you an update of my own. Last Friday I received my SR4 from the September batch. It's breaking in now and supplying my microrendu with apparently wonderful power: music is already more alive, more dimensional and fluent. Very happy with that! And quite relieved too, as I accidentally and foolishly powered the sonore with 12v for the first 20 seconds. Seems genuinely frying the unit takes even more stupidity and lack of sleep than I mustered fortunately Paul mentioned in an email last week that "SR4 production should be up to date by the end of the month". I'm not entirely sure what that means, but it sounds like production is normal again on his windy Scottish island. I know quite a few words have been written on the production delays and communication. From what I can make out, the recent accumulation of mishaps is not normal. I received a couple of updates and always kind and polite answers from Paul. He's a gentleman of honesty and integrity. It's not a pick-off the shelf Amazon-order though, but that gets you a quality niche-product. And who else builds high-tech hifi in the Outer Hebrides right in the middle of winter gales and orcas? str-1, Jiffi32, auricgoldfinger and 1 other 4 Link to comment
